Jose most recently worked for the social network bebo supporting sponsorship and monetization efforts. Previously he was a product engineer at Meca Communications, a provider of white-labeled instant messaging experiences. His technical expertise is in web development including the following: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and Java/JSP. Current platform knowledge includes MooTools, JQuery, Wordpress, MediaWiki, Facebook API, Twitter/Flickr/Delicious JSON API's.

Education
Jose holds a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Film and Digital Media from the University of California at Santa Cruz. He served as web and production manager for Eyecandy, the Journal of Film and Digital Media. For the duration of his studies, Jose worked as a student web developer for various departments in the university. Previously he studied fine arts at Cuesta College, and (very briefly) computer science at Cal Poly.
History
Jose was born in the Los Angeles area and grew up in San Luis Obispo. His paternal family is Mexican/Mexican-American and located in Ventura County and Mexico City. His maternal Family is Irish and located in Australia, Galway, Tipperary and Boston.
