The Adventures of Foilman in the Land of the Free is a stop motion animation that I created for a digital art class at Cuesta College in the Fall of 2001. Using over 700 digital stills, I had to develop my own techniques to deal with frame-rate issues.
- 06-03-2003 - Foilman is screened as part of Natural Artificial Technological Terrorism
- 05-22-2003 - Foilman wins 1st place in DV8 film festival (and a copy of Final Cut Express).
- 09-??-2002 - Foilman broadcast on public television as a part of of TV PLUS #4, a television show by Joe Golling.
- 04-12-2002 - Foilman wins the digital category for the Cuesta College Student Art Show. ($100 Prize!)
- 03-19-2002 - Screening for an intro to film class at Cuesta College.
- 03-18-2002 - Foilman accepted into student art show at Cuesta College.
- 03-09-2002 - Foilman featured in Cinergy 5 and well received by an audience of about 300.
- 02-21-2002 - I was invited to give an artist's talk and screening to the intermediate digital class on techniques used to make Foilman.
- 11-29-2001 - Foilman makes silent debut as part of the Bill of Rights installation in the Wicked Step Gallery at Cuesta College.
